Language Learning: Summer Camps and Professional Courses
The UK actively develops language courses in the professional sphere, which will allow you to both practise your language skills and improve your knowledge in the professional area. Many courses are a mix of language practice and mini-preparation for University admission: they may have an in-depth introduction in IT, sports, science or art.
ABE coordinators take a comprehensive approach to each individual case. Before you start selecting a language school, we will get a complete picture of each student’s career plans and choose the best option depending on their level of language proficiency, interests and preferences.
Extracurricular Activities and Enrichment Opportunities
Beyond academic achievements, universities want to see evidence of so-called “soft skills” that students have developed through extracurricular activities. Together with our international partners, we also offer an Enrichment programme designed to assist learners in growing their mind and enhancing their capacities:
- Race4Good (a global youth movement and student leadership project).
- IELTS (a programme that enables students to demonstrate their proficiency in English).
- ASDAN (Personal Development, Enterprise and Leadership).
- The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (a global framework for non-formal education and learning, which challenges young people to dream big, celebrate their achievements and make a difference in their world).
- A variety of COBIS-run contests.
Worldwide Internships
Advanced Level qualifications (known as A levels) are subject-based qualifications that can lead to university, further study, training, or work. A levels have a great reputation for being in-depth and rigorous, and they are very well recognised by universities and employers as a great qualification. Freemen’s A level students can secure grades to enter top universities in Britain — Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, and the London School of Economics — and other 20 top UK universities, as well as Ivy League institutions.
